Porcelain Crowns

Among the several types of crowns available with the dental labs, the one made of porcelain is the most popular. The teeth made of porcelain crowns are created in such a manner so that to match the colour, shape and size of your teeth that helps you to have a beautiful and long-lasting smile.

The Crown Procedure

Usually, 2 appointments are required for the successful implementation of the crown procedure. During your first appointment, our dentists will take several precise moulds or impressions which will be utilised for creating your custom crown. A mould will be used for creating a temporary crown which will remain there for near about 2 weeks until your custom crown is framed in a dental laboratory.

While the tooth is still numb, our dentist will properly prepare your tooth by removing any decayed portion and shaping the surface so that the crown fits appropriately. When we will find that everything is perfectly in place, our dentists will attach your temporary mould with the help of the temporary cement. Our dentists will check if you are able to take a proper bite with the help of the mould.

On the second day of your appointment, our dentists will remove your temporary crown, clean your teeth and place the permanent custom crown. They will ensure that the spacing and the bite are perfect. You will be given the instructions and encouraged to take regular visits to your dentist for checking your new crown.
